We talked about it last week, but it has happened—Apple is now banned from selling its latest Apple Watches in the U.S. Dave and I talk about what Apple's next steps could be to end the ban. We also discuss news that Jony Ive and Sam Altman are working on AI devies together, and the fact that more designers from Ive’s team at Apple now work at LoveFrom than remain at Apple. Apple has also decided to close its  Infinite Loop Company Store in Cupertino next month.

Apple this week unveiled some new security changes for its iPhone devices. Specifically, if someone steals your iPhone, and has your password, they will no longer be able to change security settings without using Face ID. The Apple TV got a little redesign this week, as well, adding a new sidebar menu that should make it easier to navigate shows and channels in the app. Dave and I also talk about rumors of a new M3 MacBook Air and when we might see thos machines.

Apple this week released its App Store Award winners, most popular podcasts, and top books of 2023. You can also see your top played songs and albums of the year in Apple Music. Rumors from a couple of months ago turned out to be true—Apple will be looking for a new partner for its Apple Card and savings account. Dave and I also look at a story from a police department warning parents that Apple's new NameDrop feature is unsafe for kids.
