I stayed home over the holidays, but Dave decided to take a trip during the travel meltdown. He tells us bout his experience and how everything went. Dave also found a new sport called Chess Boxing—apparently this goes a lot further back than either of us thought. I've never had a smart plug before, but Dave got one and he's trying to figure out the best way to use it.

Apple is rumored to be working on a search engine to rival Google. While competition is good, it seems like a steep hill for Apple to climb because its search isn't exactly very good. Apple was bidding for the NFL Sunday Ticket, but pulled out of the bidding at the last minute, which saw the NFL package go to rival YouTube. Have you ever thought about getting a foldable phone? Dave and I talk about whether or not Apple should, or would, make such a device.

Dave and I both started using Apple Music this week and had some things we liked and didn't like about the new feature. We also looked at some of the new features in iOS 16.2, the latest version of Apple's iPhone operating system. Because of new laws in the EU, Apple may have to start allowing apps to be downloaded outside of the App Store. Is this something you would do? Dave and I give our opinions on security, privacy and the App Store.

It's been a busy week for Apple as the company made three announcements for its customers and developers. The first is Apple Music Sing, which gives users the ability to lower the vocals on a song in Apple Music so you can sing along with it. The company also made some encryption announcements for users of its software and iCloud services to further protect privacy, and its rolling out 700 new price points for developers to list their apps on the App Store.

This week Dave and I talk about the new Apple Music Replayexperience the company put together. Apple has always given users a list of their favorite songs, but this year they went a lot further showing you the bands, playlists, and stations you listened to. Dave picked up some Apple Watch bands that he says are just as good as Apple's own bands, but a whole lot cheaper. Did you know Siri can give you word definitions and spelling if you ask her? I didn't.
